A 20-minute four-goal blitz fired Leeds to a great comeback win at St Marys

Southampton won promotion back to the Premier League on Sunday after beating Leeds United 1-0 in the Championship playoff final at Wembley.

Both teams came into the game off the back of comprehensive second-leg wins in the semi-finals Leeds beating Norwich 4-0 and Southampton beating Sheffield United 3-0.

But it was Southampton who started the brighter of the two sides and took the lead after just 13 minutes when Che Adams headed home from close range.

Leeds pushed for an equalizer but could not find a way through a resolute Southampton defense.

The Saints held on to secure their place back in the Premier League after just one season away.
