The Toronto Maple Leafs have hired former Calgary Flames general manager Brad Treliving as their new general manager. The announcement was made on Wednesday, less than two weeks after the Maple Leafs fired their previous general manager, Kyle Dubas.
Treliving brings a wealth of hockey experience to Toronto. He has served as the general manager of the Flames since 2014, and he helped lead the team to the playoffs in six of his eight seasons at the helm. Before joining the Flames, Treliving worked as the assistant general manager of the Phoenix Coyotes for four seasons.
Treliving is known for his strong work ethic and his ability to build a winning team. He is also known for his willingness to make bold moves, such as trading for star forward Johnny Gaudreau in 2016.
